Universal Human Musculoskeletal Arms
Please read the product description carefully, and check the License Agreement before purchasing.
Adds articulated muscles, tendons and bony landmarks to the Body Rig, Body & Face Rig or Arm Rig. As it is designed to provide a subcutaneous base over which skin can slide and deform rather than to serve as an anatomically correct representation of interior workings, only superficial forms are included, some of which are fused into a continuous surface.
Musculoskeletal Arms applied to Arm Rig with Arm Textures and Skin Shader (hair not available):
Musculoskeletal Arms and Musculoskeletal Head applied to Body Rig:
Earlier version of Musculoskeletal Arms being posed with Arm Rig:
FEATURES:
- Weighted mesh with corrective shape keys, appends to the Rigs as per the instructions
- Compatible with gender, race, age and proportion controls (additional manual adjustments are necessary for custom characters)
- Lightweight mesh for responsive performance. Poly count (before subdivision): 779 faces (quads) per limb
- Compatible with Blender 4.2 and higher
LIMITATIONS
- When added to a rig, Smooth modifiers are used soften the skin deformations. This also smooths any Multiresolution sculpting, so to retain sculpted detail it will need to be baked to a displacement map and applied as a material (see here for baking tips).
- Since the mesh relies on the Shrinkwrap modifier, it is sensitive to changes in shape and may exhibit displacement artefacts in certain poses. This can be mitigated by increasing the subdivisions or manually editing the modifier settings, the mesh, or the vertex groups.
