Customisable skin material for Cycles, tailored for use with the pre-made Universal Human Face Textures and Rigs/Base Meshes. The shader is separated from the textures to provide a more affordable option for those wanting to supply their own models or textures (Instructions for making compatible textures can be found here).

The video below combines the skin shader with the Face Textures on the Face Rig. Hair and eyeball textures are not presently available.

Skin and Makeup node groups


  • General purpose Skin node group, constructed using standard Blender nodes, with relevant properties exposed including sliders for easy selection of skin tones.

  • Makeup node group; paint your own matte, gloss or metallic makeup, or use the included eyebrow, eyelid, eyeliner, cheeks and lips masks.

Makeup applied to the Female Head Base Mesh with Face Textures (hair not presently available)

  • High frequency procedural texture for enhancing texture maps with macro detail:

  • Annotated chart explaining the Skin node group's interior workings
  • Compatible with Blender 2.79, 2.93 and higher (3.2.2 may have issues with crashing or broken drivers when appending)
