Universal Human Child Base Mesh

IMPORTANT:  Please read the product description carefully, and check the License Agreement before purchasing.

UV unwrapped generic four-year-old child base mesh in .blend format, ready for sculpting, texturing and rigging.  Can be used independently or appended as a shape key to the Body Rig or Body & Face Rig for infant* to adult morphing (in conjunction with the adjustable skeletal proportions via the Age control).  Can also be appended to the unrigged Male or Female Base Mesh, however this will result in a less accurate, linear transition

Includes a 4-year-old child mesh for use as-is or for appending to the Male/Female Base Mesh, as well as an adult-child-hybrid abomination for appending to the rigs (which will regain its proper appearance once appended). Since the more significant anatomical developments which take place during early childhood are not accounted for (such as leg shape and baby fat), manual adjustments are recommended for more correct baby-toddler proportions.

See here for Age Upgrade Procedure.

Age transition when applied to the Body Rig.

FEATURES:

  • Designed to accommodate realistic character creation and animation
  • 2 base meshes: one for appending to the rigs, and a four-year-old child for use as-is or for mixing with the full-body base meshes.
  • Includes separate eyeball geometry
  • Includes tear line
  • UV unwrapped to 6 UDIM tiles
  • Lightweight mesh for responsive performance. Poly count (before subdivision): body: 5,782 faces (quads); eyeballs: 422 faces (quads) each
  • Topology optimised for posing and animation; edge loops follow wrinkles and muscular direction where possible, without compromising deformation quality. Modelled with separate clothing in mind (i.e. geometry is less dense in typically covered areas)
  • Template images outlining UV islands and landmarks, to assist with texture and hair placement
